John Evans Carson, born March 28, 1806

 

On May 23, 1839 in Kentucky John Evans Carson married Marcinda W. Fish, who was born August 14, 1813 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky and died August 12, 1853 in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of James Shelby Fish and Sarah Lake Roberts.

Sarah Elizabeth Carson was the first child of John Evans Carson and Marcinda W. Fish.

Sarah Elizabeth Carson was born February 8, 1840 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky. She married William A. Brooks, an innkeeper, on May 17, 1859 in Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky.

In the foreground are the graves of Sarah Elizabeth Carson (daughter of Judge John Evans Carson and Marcinda Winford Fish), her husband William A. Brooks, and their son John Richard Brooks. (Do not know their relationship to John David Brooks b. 1911- d. 1912)
In the background is the grave for Judge John Evans Carson, his son-in-law Samuel David Holman, and his grandson Fred Carson Holman.
