* (Surveyor) David Carson, born about 1741 and died in 1803 in Washington County, Virginia, about 1765 married Elizabeth Dysart (sister of Col. James Dysart?), born about 1745 in Washington County, Virginia.

** Joseph Carson, son of David and Elizabeth (Dysart) Carson, was born July 2, 1777 in Washington County, Virginia and died March 2, 1815 in Mt Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. On March 30, 1797 in Washington County, Virginia, Joseph married Mary A. Evans (daughter of John I Evans and Ruth Rowe), born November 16, 1776 in Maryland and died March 2, 1864 in Mt Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.

*** (Preacher) David Carson, son of Joseph and Mary (Evans) Carson, was born February 4, 1798 in Washington County, Virginia and died December 15, 1876 in Crab Orchard, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. On June 16, 1819 in Washington County, Virginia, David married Catherine Lawrence (daughter of William Lawrence and Sarah Booth), born June 16, 1801 in Washington County, Virginia and died May 11, 1882 in either Rockcastle or Lincoln County, Kentucky. 

**** Joseph Carson, son of Preacher David and Catherine (Lawrence) Carson, was born November 12, 1822 in Crab Orchard, Rockcastle County, Kentucky and died on December 20, 1893 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. About 1864, after the death of his first wife Catherine Harness, Joseph Carson married Mahala Jane Owens (daughter of Allen Owen and Mary Kilbourn, and widow of Moses Cummins and Milton Hicks), born July 15, 1826 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and died May 14, 1908 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. 

***** Stephen Green Carson, son of Joseph Carson and Mahala Jane Owens, was born April 29, 1870 in Blue Lick, Rockcastle County, Kentucky and died December 5, 1953 in Davie, Broward County, Florida. On June 21, 1888 in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky, Stephen married Susan Ellen Sowder (daughter of Lewis Sowder and Malvina Owens) born October 29, 1872 in either Spiro, Rockcastle County, Kentucky or Corbin, Laurel County, Kentucky and died December 23, 1962 in Davie, Broward County, Florida. Linnie Carson (daughter of Stephen Green Carson and Susan Ellen Sowder married John Ashley Griffin (son of William David Griffin and Sarah Frances Owens).

*** Judge John Evans Carson, son of Joseph and Mary (Evans) Carson, was born March 28, 1806 in Crab Orchard, Rockcastle County, Kentucky and died April 23, 1876 in Crab Orchard, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. On May 23, 1839 in Kentucky John married Marcinda W. Fish (daughter of James Shelby Fish and Sarah Lake Roberts), born August 14, 1813 in Lincoln County, Kentucky and died August 12, 1853 in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.

***** Claudia Lung Carson, grand daughter of Judge John Evans Carson and Marcinda W. Fish, was born on December 9, 1865 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County and died on December 7, 1963 in the Florida Christian Nursing Home near Jacksonville, Florida. On December 23, 1884 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, Claudia Lung Carson married Samuel David Holman, son of James Holman and Martha Ramsey (daughter of Alexander Ramsey and Nancy Nelson and grand daughter of Thomas Ramsey and Martha "Patsy" Golman). Claudia and Sam's son, Thomas Newman Holman married Lula Jane Carson, daughter of Stephen Green Carson

* David Owen and Winefred Mullins are ancestors of both Carsons and Griffins. Burton Owens, son of David Owen and Winefred Mullins, married Lavincy Riggs, the granddaughter of Samuel Riggs who was born about 1728 in Morris County, New Jersey and died in 1798 in Surry County, North Carolina. Burton Owens and Lavincy Riggs are the grandparents of Susan Ellen Sowder ("Grandma Carson"). Mahala Jane Owens, the mother of Stephen Green Carson ("Grandpa Carson") was the grand daughter of David Owen and Winefred Mullins. William David Griffin, who was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and died in Davie, Broward County, Florida, married Sarah Francis Owens, the daughter of Ashley Owens and Angeline Mullins. William David Griffin was the son of John Nelson Griffin and Mary Owens, a granddaughter of David Owen and Winefred Mullins. Ashley Owens was a grandson of David Owen and Winefred Mullins.

George Leichtenberger, a teamster, born on January 22, 1737 in Wuerttemberg, Germany and died June 1814 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, married twice: his first wife may have been a member of the Seneca tribe and his second wife, Margaret, was born about 1742 and died after 1814.

Jacob Rudolph, a carpenter, born about 1746 in Germany and died before 1820, was married to Ann Mary, born about 1748 in Germany.

Francis Rudolph (son of Jacob Rudolph and Ann Mary), born about 1791 in Germany and died after 1860, about 1820 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania married Catherine Leichtenberger (daughter of George Leichtenberger and his second wife), born about 1777 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and died about 1857 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. 

George Isaac Rudolph, born about 1826 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and died on December 25, 1861 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, on March 30, 1847 married Sarah Williams Knell (daughter of Isaac W Knell and Phoebe Williams Handley), born May 1831 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.

George Isaac Rudolph II, born on July 11, 1850 in Allegheny City, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and died July 15, 1939 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on December 25, 1878 in A.B. Hoard Lock #9, West Virginia married Anna Elizabeth Hoard (daughter of Aaron Brooks Hoard and Sarah Ann Pickenpaugh), born May 9, 1858 in Monongalia County, West Virginia (then Virginia) and died May 20, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Walter Maple Peter Pickenpaugh Rudolph, born December 19, 1891 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died May 3, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania married Gertrude Blanche Bethel (daughter of Robert A. Bethel and Margaret Jane Harrold), born March 18, 1894 in Village of Kennon, Belmont County, Ohio and died May 22, 1984 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
